Our Technology

Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT)

JMorita Cone Beam CT

Our practice utilizes the J. Morita Cone Beam CT, which is considered the best technology currently available to provide highly accurate 3-D radiographic images for the diagnosis, planning and treatment of endodontic diseases. Dental lesions and structures that are NOT VISIBLE with standard 2-D IMAGING (regular x-rays) are often SEEN CLEARLY with 3-D CBCT.  This highly accurate 3-D imaging allows us to detect tooth anatomy, root canal systems, signs of infections, bone, sinuses, and surrounding structures in 3-dimensions with minimal radiation to the patient.  It is a powerful tool in the diagnosis and treatment of many successful complex endodontic cases that otherwise would have been recommended for extraction. With the J Morita cone beam CT technology in our office, our practice is committed to saveyour teeth by providing innovative and high-quality patient care.

Digital Radiography

XDR Digital Radiography

Dental radiographs (x-rays images) allow us to see dental structures we cannot see with our own eyes. Dental radiographs enable us to detect cavities, see signs of infection, determine bone level, and analyze the condition of your bone. We can also examine the roots and nerves of teeth, diagnose lesions such as cysts or tumors, as well as assess damage when trauma occurs.

Dental radiographs are instrumental in diagnosing, treating, and maintaining dental health. Exposure time for dental radiographs is minimal.  We utilize Digital Imaging Technologies within the office to provide quality patient care and experience.   We use the Nomad handheld dental X-ray system, which is the most advanced systems on the market today.  Its lighter weight and cordless design improve dental radiography speed, convenience and efficiency.  The unit emits about 1/3 the radiation of a standard wall mount x-ray units.  We use XDR X-ray sensors for the highest quality digital images instead of conventional x-rays resulting in about 90 percent less radiation exposure and more efficient treatment.   Digital imaging allows us to easily take, store and transfer images to your dentist, other specialists or insurance companies to streamline your care.
